Every single bulb in your system can be set to its own color and brightness. That's how you build a candy-cane roofline for December: run warm white, then set every fourth bulb to red for a peppermint twist. Same trick works for Panthers game days, pastels at Easter, or a single accent color over the front door.
Before you build anything from scratch, browse the presets. There are more than 180 covering every major holiday and plenty of just-because looks. Find one you almost love? Use it as a starting point, tweak it, and save it as your own. The app holds up to 60 custom patterns.
Daily timers turn your lights on at sunset and off at your bedtime without you touching a thing. Calendar events go further: set July 4th, Halloween, and Christmas scenes once and they'll run automatically every year. You can even schedule a soft warm-white wake-up for 7am, or surprise your spouse when the house glows their favorite color on your anniversary.
Trimlight connects to Alexa and Google Home, so "turn on the patio lights" works from the couch, mid-conversation, hands full. If you set up scenes with memorable names, voice control gets even more useful.
